Training behaviors with positive reinforcement training

With positive reinforcement, we'll mark the desired behavior with clickers. We will begin the class learning how to connect with our best friend. In addition, we’ll be teaching our dogs about self-control. Our training is not based on “making” the dog do something. It’s based on establishing an important relationship with the dog. Once we have a connection, then we’ll add in the basic behaviors we all would like with our dogs. This results in a very positive experience for you and your dog!

What we'll work on:

We will work on basic behaviors such as sit, down, stay, walk on a leash, and come. We will cover good manners cues such as wait and leave-it, and some fun tricks like shake and spin. In addition, we will discuss problem-solving techniques for dealing with typical dog behaviors that most people find a bit challenging (how to deal with jumping on people, barking, chewing, digging). We’ll also show you techniques to help your dog be comfortable with handling (grooming, bathing, etc.). This is a very comprehensive class in basic dog training!
